(...)Le Corbusier en 1951, après avoir été connu comme le théoricien d’une nouvelle culture progressiste en adaptant l’architecture a la civilisation industrielle, il commence à bâtir avec ses propres mains un cabanon en bois au bord de la Méditerranée à Cap-Martin. Il passera la-bas ses étés jusqu'à sa mort.S'agit-il d’un paradoxe ou d'un acte critique? ou bien de l’expression d’une recherche qui petit-à petit se précise? J’ai mis en relation ce geste avec l'expérience de vie dans les bois de Henry David Thoreau  décrite dans son Walden ou avec certains exemples d'habitations  illustrés par William Morris dans News from nowhere. Mais je pense aussi aux expériences communautaires, socialistes, anarchiques ou naturistes, de la fin du 19ème et début du 20ème siècle d'inspiration fouriériste ou owenienne.
